ECB Survey on the access to finance of enterprices in the Euro area

This report presents the main results of the 28th round of the Survey on the Access to Finance of Enterprises (SAFE) in the euro area, which was conducted between 6 March and 14 April 2023.

ECB-safeThe ECB recently published the results of a pilot round of its survey on access to finance for businesses. The results show that 60% of companies attach more importance to transition risks than physical risks. Only 24% of companies plan to invest to reduce their climate footprint in the next five years. Companies indicate that subsidised loans are preferred to finance the green transition.
